Ferndale Youth Coerced by Police

We are encouraging support to question the court's intent in this case. Stephen Wright had a cell phone stolen from him. He is a victim of a crime. However in this case Stephen has been told to enter a plea of guilty as a defendant.

Ferndale is 10% black and has a median age for black males of 26 years (2010 Census). The city is on the border of Detroit and most suburbs and all insurance companies engage in racial profiling. The tactics used in these communities is subversive and aim to oppress black youth.

Things haven't changed since Talk of the Nation (NPR) held the show "Black Mens Jail Times Hit Entire Communities" on August 24, 2010. 11 minutes into the show discussion turns to what happens for youth as they face a legal system that is aimed at incarcerating them.

Fight For Justice

This plea was entered under false accusations and duress. The legal system we seek protects victims of crime, and assists our youth in finding productive lives without a record of offenses. There is a war on under-privileged youth at this time.
